Pizzeria Bella Napoli was founded by Max Contessa, a direct immigrant from Naples, Italy. Prior to relocating to the Tampa Bay area in 2004, Max served for twenty years as head chef for a leading Italian restaurant in New Jersey where he perfected authentic Italian recipes for everything from pasta, bread, sauces, entrees, appetizers and desserts. While in New Jersey, he also developed both New York and Sicilian style pizzas that were immensely popular there, and have also become the hallmark of Pizzeria Bella Napoli here in Clearwater, leading to its emergence as one of the most popular, fastest growing pizzerias in Pinellas County, Florida.

Max brings a true Italian heritage to each meticulously prepared homemade menu selection. He uses only the finest, freshest ingredients -- some of which are imported directly from Italy, such as San Marzano tomatoes and Mozzarella Cheese Grande - the finest, highest quality cheese available. All menu items are prepared daily from scratch such as our fresh-baked Italian bread, pizza dough, pasta, sauces, entrees, appetizers and desserts. No preservatives are used in any menu item we serve.
